We would like to bring to your attention the project "40 years of Running on the Same Spot: A Libyan Diary" by Hadia Gana.
The Libyan artist and ceramicist Hadia Gana as been artist-in-residence at the Thami Mnyele Foundation in 2009.
"40 years of Running on the Same Spot: A Libyan Diary - December 2011 and November 2011"
is a Diary/Project that followed Hadia's return to Libya in November 2011.
The diary, and accompanying images, covers a critical period of conflict in Libya from March of this year up to the recent death of Muammar Gaddafi.
The project is visible and presented online by "Ibraaz": http://www.ibraaz.org/projects/16.
"Following her return to Libya at the beginning of November, Gana discusses the attempts to rebuild the country both on a local and national level, and her own plans to create a cultural centre in her own home. Covering the efflorescence of cultural activity in Libya since its liberation, Gana's latest missive suggests the important role art and culture is playing in the reconstruction project".
