Mustafa Maluka Nicholas Hlobo and Mustafa Maluka, both former artists in residence at the Thami Mnyele studio, are on show at the Michael Stevenson Gallery in Cape Town, Dec 6 - Jan 14. As part of the anual group exhibition, South African Art 1848 - now, Mustafa Maluka participates with works of painting. Nicholas Hlobo shows sculpture and he will be doing a performance piece at the night of the opening. This performance will also be carried out during SESSIONS eKAPA 2005.

The gallery's annual 'season' exhibition opened on Tuesday 6 December and runs until Saturday 14 January. The show includes choice works by 19th and 20th century masters, and a selection of major new works made for the exhibition by the gallery's contemporary artists. As always the exhibition provides an insightful view of trends in South African art, and is accompanied by a well-researched catalogue. The gallery is open throughout the season, closing only for the long weekends 24-26 December and 31 December-2 January.
