"Over the Borders"
Over the Borders is a construction of the pathways which snatch you when your imagination spreads out. Through five videos and one photo Guy Wouete (Cameroon) has investigated the spiritual, emotional and non-emotional space between the eyes, heart and brain.
During the development of this work, Guy drew inspiration from the theory of the four elements: earth, water, air and fire. For centuries these elements have constituted what we call “life”, and are expressed in spirituality, the sciences, philosophy and medicine as dry, warm, wet and cold. While these elements complement each other they are also each other’s opposites. They generate mood, power and energy in space and time.
Period: April 2nd - May 7th, 2010, official opening in the café at Friday 9th of April at 17.00hrs.
Curator of the art in ’t Hoogt is Kostana Banovic.

"Lines of Wind"
