We congratulate Thami Mnyele Foundation fellow Guy Wouete for his Sit-in-Performance in the public spaces "En Quête" as part of the exhibition If Things Grow Wrong at Lakenhal Museum in Leiden, which will take place from Monday 11 to Thursday 14 October.
En quete is an experiment that makes us think about work, the body and the public space as cornerstones for a more sustainable world. Why should we fill our lives with work? Why does our work determine our identity? Why are we so dependent on our job? And why do so many workplace abuses persist in our world – from grueling employment contracts to physical and mental exhaustion?
