We are very happy to share with you that our old friend, fellow Guy Woueté have arrived at the residency! Guy will stay in the residency for the month of February. This is his second time in the residency after 2006. We are looking forward to having Guy with us in Amsterdam!

Guy Woueté, born in 1980 Cameroon. He is based in Antwerp and Douala. Woueté’s work always encompasses elements of social criticism, questions surrounding borders, migration and symbols of domination in an era of globalisation. Using history as a source of material, Woueté blends records of experience, emotion, feeling in collages, installation, performance, video and photographic work. He also works in sculpture, painting and makes artists’ books.

Woueté's work can be seen now in the Netherlands at "If Things Grow Wrong" exhibition at Museum De Lakenhal in Leiden.
