2023-06-07 | Tito Zungu: at group exhibition MODERN in Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

safda adf afs

We are happy to share that a work by our fellow Tito Zungu is in show at Stedelijk Museum exhibition 'MODERN: Van Gogh, Roetveld and others'. Tito Zungu’s work ‘Untitled’, was first shown in the Netherlands in the exhibition 'Zuiderkruis' at the Stedelijk museum, which hosted artists from South Africa and was organised by the Thami Mnyele Foundation. It was during this exhibition that the Stedelijk museum has purchased Tito Zungu’s work, which is now shown in the MODERN exhibition.

The Stedelijk presents over 300 works by 200 artists and designers, from as many as 20 movements. MODERN takes a fresh look at internationally known names such as Vincent van Gogh, Gerrit Rietveld, and Fernand Léger, and highlights lesser-known creators such as Suzanne Valadon, Germaine Krull, and Christopher Dresser.

The exhibition is open from 18 May to 24 September
