We are happy to share that our fellow Ina van Zyl will open her personal exhibition 'Briefly Wildly Happy' at Bernard Jordan gallery in Paris.
A recent painting by Ina van Zyl, Goblet, from 2023, reveals [..] this fundamental link between botany and humans. In this painting, the truncated genitals and thighs of a woman, unctuously painted in flesh colors and filling the entire pictorial space like a kind of landscape, can also be seen as a flower on its stem. The hairless lips, in shades of deep purple, can remind us of the petals of a flower about to bloom, while the dark shadows that run along the inner thighs constitute the stem.

The exhibition will take place from Jan 18 to Feb 17
