Residency at the Thami mnyele
Thami Mnyele Foundation offers two distinct residency programs: the Full Residency Program and the Short Residency Program.
Full Residency Program
Full residencies are competitively awarded to artists across Africa. Annually, the Thami Mnyele Foundation grants up to two scholarships for the Full Residency Program. Applications undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent committee comprised of esteemed art professionals appointed by the Foundation's Board.
Selected artists are provided with accommodation and studio space for a three-month duration. Additionally, recipients of the Full Residency Program benefit from:

-
A monthly stipend of €1800 to cover living expenses and materials.
-
Reimbursement for return travel to Amsterdam.
-
Medical and legal liability insurance throughout the residency.
-
Assistance with visa application procedures.
-
Introduction to the Dutch art scene and access to the Foundation's extensive network.
Short Residency Program
The Short Residency Program caters to artists from Africa who have been invited to partake in cultural projects in the Netherlands and require lodging in Amsterdam for a brief period. This program offers complimentary studio space and housing for the specified duration.
However, unlike the Full Residency Program, the Short Residency Program does not include:

-
A living stipend or coverage for material expenses.
-
Reimbursement for travel expenses.
-
Provision of medical and legal liability insurance.
-
Assistance with visa applications by the Foundation.
